as our time in melbourne grew shorter, we were fortunate enough to go to a live footy game at the telstra dome, spend time with a wonderful family, and get a few valuable opinions on where to go and where to start our trip. with a bit of advise we decided to head north to cairns where we would look for work and accommodations, and try to test out life on the great barrier reef and beach. so using our great southern rail pass we geared up for 3 days on the train to darwin...
