In Australia

with a fairly uneventful flight, and carrie getting searched at both the sydney and melbourne airports (we could only come to the conclusion that they assumed she'd be the mule if we were carrying drugs or a bomb) we had made it to melbourne. it didn't take us long to walk from the house we were staying at to the beach and try to get accustomed by eating pies (without utensils), eating vegemite, and making our way to downtown melbourne. we hung around for a couple of weeks trying to slowly sort out our plan as we knew to take advantage of having a beachside house, free internet, nice foods, and comfortable beds for as long as we could. i know that we both can easily agree that having the green family as a huge comfort and weight lifted off of both of our shoulders as we didn't have to figure out where we would be going our first night in the country, living with a wonderful family with all the amenities that would give us a easy transition to our new lives.
